Why We Built This Site
Alabama gives the public broad access to many public writings and court records, but access still depends on the type of file and the office that keeps it. In Barbour County, Circuit and District Court files go through Circuit Clerk Paige Q. Smith. Probate, marriage, land, estate, guardianship, and conservatorship records go through the Judge of Probate and Probate Office. Jail roster information starts with the sheriff, while state-prison custody records move to ADOC.
The Clayton and Eufaula office pattern also matters. Some court, clerk, and probate services list Clayton addresses, while many practical record contacts point to Eufaula phone numbers or offices. This site organizes those routes by record type.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Alabama court, Barbour County office, clerk's office, sheriff's office, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can provide:
- We cannot file paperwork or submit records requests for anyone
- We cannot issue certified copies of any court, probate, marriage, divorce, or jail record
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific Barbour County case applies to a person
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, address, or office procedure remains current at the moment you use it
Only the issuing Barbour County office, Alabama court, or state agency can provide an official certified copy or binding case information.
Search Partners
Some pages include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing, operate their own services, and control their own results. When a visitor uses one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, this site may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep the Barbour County reference pages available. We do not control third-party search pricing, coverage, or result accuracy.
